Maddox gives a review ofI, Robot. Good read. Not having seen the movie I think I will take his word for it. However the image he has of Will Smith relieving himself lent credence to the words of The Maddox.

You saw my previous post about case mods right? Well here is my first venture in to back yard mods. I assisted my dad on this one. He's the yard mod guru. First thing we did is create a level center frame. We then built out the peaks on the left and right. It's critical that we get this first part right or the add-ons won't fit or work the way they're supposed to. I'll keep you guys posted on our progress. Tomorow while I'm at work my dad will most likely install the decking. When I get home from work I will have a little spare time before my class so I will be installing a body kit, a lowering kit and an air intake. I may even over-clock it. We also might get started on the section that will go from the back door to the gazebo platform. When it's complete I may paint it with some glossy gunmetal and instal a few blue LEDs. We'll see.

I'm testing out a recent Google acquisition that allows me to post images painlessly. I have to admit... it was pretty painless. To get the scoop click on the little icon that will follow my caption.

This image was the first photo I took that I liked after I bought my fish-eye lens.

So I'm still not smoking. It's not causing me any problems. I also decided to change my diet to cut out the crap I eat. Mainly just Coca-Cola and fast food. Let me tell you something. I'm having a harder time quitting Coca-Cola than I did smoking. I probably just decided to cut too much out at the same time. I just had a fear that I'm going to turn in to a fat ass... I gained ten pounds since I stopped smoking. It's not all that much but I need to stop it before I turn in to Jabba the Hutt.

My course is still going well. I had some problems with variable length subnet masks but Dom helped me out with that. I've got it under control now. Thanks Dom! Make sure you don't ever let me forget that you helped me with that. Where's my eighty dollars bitch?

Well, as I am in class as I write this I will leave you with a number of interesting links that were provided to me by people I know or sites I frequent. Enjoy.

Sandersans of Spitcircle.com provided a link to this interesting article about Terror in the Skies, Again?

Tina of Mindinthegutter.net just provided this spooky mind reading page to me.

This is a mildly amusing blurb on unlikely tech news headlines. Linkage courtesy of Fark.com.

Lastly here is a link to a photo I took two years ago. It is one of my favorites.

In the last week I:
-Stopped smoking.
-celebrated Canada day.
-Had a quiet Independance day at work.
-Lived through the aftermath of independance day at work (both the fifth and sixth).

Let me go in to detail for you. I decided to quit smoking last wednesday, july the first (Canada day) being the first full day of me being smoke free. I decided to get the patch to assist. Well, it worked. These patches completely killed my cravings for cigarettes. I got Life brand patches which saved me ten dollars when compared with Nicoderm patches. I will be updating this post with an image of the box later as I am in my class currently.

I can't remember what I did during the day on Canada day... but my girlfriend and I ate dinner with my parents before heading out to find a good place to see the fireworks on Capital Hill. We found a nice place on the Aviation Parkway and set up our chairs. A lady had set herself up in front of us... well we set ourselves up behind her. ANYWAYS. She lit up the most enormous delicious smelling cigarette I have EVER seen. Here's where it gets weird. As I'm staring at it it seemed to enlarge slowly and engulf me... the smoke was all wafting right up my nose. I took one deep breath before my brain told my lungs to stop breathing. I actually became scared to breath it in. This is how I know I was ready to quit. My girlfriend has been most supportive as she is a non-smoker. Her help has been appreciated.

July the fourth (Independance Day in the U.S.) affected me at work as we provide technical support to a U.S. ISP. It was very quiet and I found work to be quite relaxing. It wasn't slow and it wasn't busy.

The yesterday and today are a whole different story. If you live in the States I think I should warn you that your government may have pumped retard juice in to the water supply. So consult a a doctor if you think you may have been affected. I'll give you some of the symptoms:
-It makes sense to you that you should contact us from work because you can't get on-line at home.
-It makes sense to you that you should contact us about phone service.
-You cannot grasp that you will need to call in (I provide chat support) to get your password when told we have absolutely no access to password through chats.
-You think that begging for the password will suddenly give us access to passwords.
-You think that telling us how much you pay each month will suddenly give us access to passwords.
-You think the supervisor will have access to passwords.
-If you think threatening to cancel your internet service will force us (internet technical support chat) to provide tech support for your car.

If you have one or more of the above symptoms and/or don't understand why said symptoms should be a frightening sign a malady CONTACT A DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY. There are more symptoms but they are far too numerous to list here. Don't get me wrong. I'm not anti-American, I just happen to deal with Americans at their worst all day at work. I'm anti-idiot. Whatever your nationality may be.
