New photo album

Well, I've created a photo album using a program called Flash Album Creator. You can access it by clicking on the "Flash Album" link under the new photography section in the menu to the left. It's a basic album. I would appreciate comments or suggestions. What I'm actually looking for is something that will allow me to generate thumbnails that lead to the larger images. It can be using Flash or PHP. So if you know where I can find something to do that please let me know!

On another note, I've bought rollerblades and have been going out blading for the last few days. So far I haven't seriously injured myself but if you stop hearing from me you will know why... I also have to buy a squash racket... or was it racket ball? I'm supposed to get together with Dom to play. He tells me it's fun. I will probably break my body. Anyways, it's all in an effort to get back in to shape. Wish me luck!

I told Christine I would go straight to bed when I got home... The problem is that this was such a beautiful shot (to me) that I had to post it. I hope you can forgive me! As always, hi-res available on request!

On an unrelated note happy birthday Dom!

They say read sky at night sailor's delight, red skin the morning sailor's warning. Whoever "they" are and whatever "they" meant by that I don't know. It was just one of those sunsets that you can see inside the house and you have to go out and look. I took my camera so you guys could too. The more I look at it the more convinced I am that the photo didn't turn out right... There is just something wrong with it... Something very very wrong.

Aside from that the stretch of time between now and the last time I posted was filled with the drudgery of work punctuated with happy times with my girlfriend. I've decided to try to get a position in a different section at work when I complete this course (one month to go!). It will allow for a change of scene and more stable work hours while I search for a new job with wild abandon.

Speaking of my course... That's where I am now. Today we are learning about ISDN and DDR. Right now he's speaking about "interesting traffic". Ironically (or sadly depending on your view) it's anything but interesting. This course has been interesting things with ridiculously boring things packed in between. We are four modules in to this class and I still have not done any of the module tests. Luckily the teacher isn't anal so he has just left them up for us to complete at our leisure. In all honesty I'm still catching up with reading the modules.

It would have been perfect if the sun had been a little bit more to the right... and that car on the left could do with a little bit of not being there...

Orleans punks...

Last night I was driving my girlfriend home and we passed a Tim Horton's. Apparently the cool thing to do now is to gather in large groups at the local Timmy's. Anyways, as we drove past it all the winners were looking at my car intently. I was flattered. I thought they were checking out my ride.

Turns out I was wrong.

Two minutes later I pull up to a stop sign and a car come flying around me and screetches to a halt in front of me and another comes right up behind me. A guy jumps out and walks towards me. I reached over and locked the doors. We weren't scared, more weirded out because of how abrupt it was. There was enough space for me to drive around the car that had stopped in front of me. If it had come down to it and I felt we were in danger I would have just run the guy over. It didn't
come to that. As he squinted at me he realised he had the wrong guy, said he was sorry and had the car move out of my way.

When I finally got to drop Christine off she suggested I go a different way. I beat my chest and grunted. Sean knows no fear!

So on my way back I pass the Tim Horton's again. They are all staring again. Two minutes later I see a car speeding up behind me while I'm at a light. The guy pulls up next to me. I had my window down in preparation. He recognized me and apologized again right away. He tells me the guy they are after has the exact same car. I have a silver Z24. A full quarter of the population has the same car. At least the thugs were polite when they realized they had the wrong person.

I was cooking some burgers for my girlfriend, brother and I when I saw the sun shining through the screened in gazebo we have in our yard. I figured this would be a great chance to use my sepia filter (it was delivered on one of the days I was sick last week... itÂ’'s all a blur). I find it made the image look like a hot summer evening. I like how it turned out. I cropped the image a little and sharpened it up. As always high resolution copies are available upon request. All I ask is that you give credit where credit is due.

On a related note, I am in the process of making a collection of photos I took and plan on making prints available through Zazzle in the near future. I will of course let you all know when I do so and provide a convenient link.
