stop or you'll go blind

This is light from the sun shining through my curtain. If you look closely you can see the face of Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law.

between Jeanne D'Arc and Orléan Blvd

I was driving to work this morning at 4:30am and I passed what I thought was just a R.I.D.E. check point (For those of you not from Ottawa it's a spot check for drunk driving). So I didn't think much of it. On my way home traffic is backed up so I immediately think of what I had passed in the morning. It's now 1 pm and they have blocked off the highway.

Rubber necking has spawned a whole series of sub-accidents. Behind this fire truck is a three car rear-end fest where one car stopped, got rear-ended and then someone pulled up to the bumper of the second car.

When I finally extricated myself from traffic I drove to the bridge that was right next to where the accident had been in the morning as I was driving in to work. The spot I took this picture from was about twenty feet away from the car wreck. There was no blood that I could see but I didn't feel right posting the images of what may have been someone's coffin. Just to the right of this cruiser there was another accident caused by rubber-neckers. This cruiser was parked in the center median of the highway.

The image below was taken from the bus walkway in Orleans. The first bridge is where the accident happened and next to the center bridge pilon is where the second set of rubber neckers got in an accident. If you look just under the second bridge which is about two kilometers away from where I took the photo you will see where traffic was being detoured off the highway. The second bridge is also where I took the photo of the firetruck.

I don't know what happened but there I can only guess there was something serious or I'm fairly certain they wouldn't have closed the highway for 8 hours. I hate seeing things like this yet like most people I feel compelled to look. My curiosity gets the better of me... yet as I indulge my curiosity I pray that I don't see anything that would show someone got hurt or died. Even though it's obvious to all onlookers that something tragic happened to someone. All I could think of as I looked at the car was thank God. I don't know anyone that drives that type of car.

six hundred more millimetres

I think that black and white can make even a fly covered freshly pinched loaf look classy. Although this photo was desaturated... That being said... I need to find better subject matter. I think I will also start a series of photos taken in my daily comings and goings using my cell phone. I'll call it: "Sean in 640x480" or something equally ghey.
