Sunday sunday SUNDAY!

I had a good weekend. Friday friends and family gathered to celebrate my twenty eigth birthday. Christine had tried to make it a surprise but was thwarted by absent-mindism. I had guessed that something was up but two separate incidents just confirmed what I had suspected. I've been bugging Tina about how she ruined my birthday by spilling the beans in a comment on this site but in reality I was pretty much aware that something was up already. Then my brother spilled more beans and they all partook in a second attempt at covering the error. Thanks guys! I love you all for trying!

Now the picture was taken at a Monster truck rally at the Corel Center today. There was this awesome jet powered cart. Holy shit it was loud! I don't have any pictures of it because they turned out the lights and it was moving too fast. The images I got looked like what you would find in the toilet after a night of binge drinking. I had never been to one of these events but I thought it was pretty cool. Loud engines, smashing things, lawn mower and four wheeler races and a jet cart that made you shit your pants with it's after-burner. Thanks for footing the cost of the ticket Tania (Christine's sister).

Springtime zombies

Christine and I went for some pho tonight and then we went for a walk. We encountered a rare find. A Freshly thawed springtime Zombie! So fresh in fact that her hands had not yet been zombified!

After finding the zombie I figured I might as well take a photo of our escape route. It's stairs. We ran up the stairs... To get away from the zombie.

Downtown.

So what's new? A few things. Some are super important to me and other are just a relief. I was moved to phone support at work a few months back and got reamed by the scheduling fairies. I ended up working erratic shifts for about 5 months. It's alright once the insanity settles in. Now I have been moved back to chats. I'm still subject to the scheduling fairies' fist of fury however I am now on chats so I can deal with it. I got a healthy dose of perspective. I will just keep it quiet at work and work at getting a different job. I went in for testing for a government job but it could take months before I hear from them. I'm remaining confident that I will hear from them but I'm not going to burn any bridges (For any of my superiors who may or may not be reading this.

The most significant event was on the twelfth of April. Christine and I celebrated our one year anniversary. Every day I'm with her makes me happier. However I must indicate my surprise. She's more stubborn than I am! I would have dumped my ass by now! Seriously though. She's great because she knows and accepts my foibles (absent minded and being reliably tardy...Amongst a myriad of other things...) and she gets my humour (or at least laughs when it looks like I'm expecting laughter)I love you!

I got to hang out with Dom tonight. I took these photos as we wandered around downtown. I will say no more or he'll accuse me of being gay for him.

For some reason this building deemed it necessary to put a picture of a sad woman in a giant window. Sad people live here.

Dom. He's going places. Just not his right leg.

Uh. Wall... with an alley...ceiling?

These stairs were in the middle of the field in from of the courthouse. I think it's the entrance to the bat cave. Either way, I decide to play with the colour. If you like it let me know. If you don't like it eat shit.
