Closing date!

We got our closing date today. Looks like Christine and I will officially be home owners on March 28th. This weekend we went and bought our appliances and tomorrow I'm going to put a deposit down on our couch, kitchen table, chairs for the table and I will try to get a coffee table for the basement thrown in. Sorry Tina, I know your hate for exclamation points but... WOOHOO!!!1

Bryan Adams

Went to the Bryan Adams concert with Christine. I must admit I'm not a big fan. However the concert was great and I was a little surprised that I knew all the songs. I thought to myself that he wasn't ever (in my opinion) a huge "star" like you see today with pop music. You know. The retarded beatles-esque stupidity where fans scream until their throats bleed kind of huge. That being said his music is pretty much a part of my life. Growing up his songs were played. We can all instantly recognize him. He's a Canadian icon.

Don't get me wrong... I'm still not going to buy his albums. But you have to give credit where credit is due. This guy and his band played non-stop without a break for two and a half hours. He and the band sound so close to album quality while performing that it was astounding to me. At one point he got this chick on stage from the crowd and she sang a whole song with him. She couldn't sing worth a damn but she kept it up for the whole song. Kudos to you lady. You will almost certainly be in the papers tomorrow.

In closing I have to appologize to Christine. I told her I was going to post a photo I took of this guy with the most ridiculous comb-over but it didn't turn out. He had maybe ten hairs but he still combed it over. It went from his ear all the way accross his bald expanse to the other ear. Ridiculous.

Gallery 101

Went to the Gallery 101 art auction. It was jam packed. I saw a few works that I found interesting. It's all a matter of taste I suppose. There was a lot of abstract and I have a hard time getting abstract to be honest. My photo sold but I don't know for how much yet. Bidding starts at fifty dollars so it's at least that. I will get half of whatever it sold for and the rest goes to the gallery. We went down to see if anyone had bid on it and they had just completed bidding for that section. I saw they guy who bought it (he had it in his hands) but I didn't go talk to him. Now that I know my photos can sell I have to become arrogant.

Just kidding.

I'm surprised/happy/a little sad that it sold. I don't know why I feel a small sense of loss... I still have the negative for it.
