Thursday, May 31, 2007

This is the sample package I got for joining the Tabasco campaign at www.bzzagent.com . All I need to do is tell people about the product and how I use it. So here is the product and here is something you can make with Tabasco sauce. I got this recipe from http://www.shrimpin.com YUM!

Beer Boiled Shrimp

2 lbs tiger prawn

24oz beer

1tbsp garlic

2tsp salt

1/2tsp thyme

2 bay leaves

1tsp celery seed

1tsp parsley

1/4tsp cayenne

1/2cup butter

1tsp fresh lemon juice

1tsp Tabasco sauce

1. Heat 4 quarts water to a boil in a stockpot, over a moderately-high flame.
2. Add beer, garlic, salt, thyme, bay leaves, celery seed, parsley, and cayenne.
3. Bring to a boil for 5 minutes.
4. Add shrimp, return to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer for 4-5 minutes.
5. Drain well and remove to a serving bowl or platter.
6. Combine butter, lemon juice, and tabasco sauce.
7. Serve shrimp hot, accompanied by a spiced butter

So I've gone from being ambivalent about dogs to being one of those people that will post billions of photos of his dog.

This is Leeloo just after she met Churchill, an Alaskan Malamute. Very big.

Below is them together.

Everybody, this is Leeloo

I took eighty eight photos. These are the ones we liked the best.

My first 5k

Second time running with the Nike+ iPod sports kit I bought with left over birthday money. I must say it makes running very enjoyable. It tells you each kilometer you run and the half-way point and at the end it gives you a summary. Tells you how far you ran, the average time it took you to run a kilometer and how many calories you burned. Then when you sync your iPod you get this lovely graph on the nikeplus.com site. I already submitted a suggestion to be able to post directly to your blog from their site.

Also, we got Leeloo!!! I will have many photos posted tomorrow... well... later today at this point... after I sleep. SHE'S ADORABLE!!!

Tuesday afternoon I started getting more and more sick at work. The last time I was sick was a little over two years ago. Some of you may remember it. I had a photo of myself on the floor embracing a four litre jug of orange juice. Well I don't have one of those this time.

Here's the problem: I don't get sick often. The only reason that this is a problem is because when I do get sick it feels like the apocalypse to me. Pestilence landed in my bedroom and smote my sinuses with a holy vengeance while I just lay there cowering in my sweat soaked sheets.

So we're going on three days with this crap and I'm sitting here waiting for my mommy to e-mail me back with our doctor's name and phone number so I can go get diagnosed and get a note so I can not go in to work again. Run on sentence. I don't remember her name or number because of what I said before. I don't get sick very often. I don't need to remember it... it could be argued that I could just add the info to my address book. But I say eat shit to that argument.

It's only been three days but I have already forgotten what it feels like to not be sick.

I'll likely go to the doctor only to find out that I'm a pussy having only mild alergies or some crap... To me it feel like I'm in the movie The Running Man and I'm approaching the prison perimeter and that at any moment my head will burst apart and rain mucus and brains down on everyone around me.

I love you all. I guess I could just call my mom... Meh... I'm sick. My actions don't have to make sense.
